CNBLUE will debut their new 2nd Japanese single ‘I don’t know why’ and they will have their tour in Japan with the songs of these albums! This album will convey the real voice of the 4 boys.

Beginning with the first concert held in their mother town, Korea, they then went to Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and some parts of China to have their Asia tour…

Although they have only debuted for about half a year, they already have their Asia tour. Seeing from the size of this function, we can discover the gigantic possibilities in their world of music. ‘I don’t know why’ of their new single just proves us that they are not chained by any styles of music. Besides, we can also appreciate their beautiful melody and vocals there. No matter they are to perform pop or rock, they are still preforming charmingly… Combining all these advantages in their music born their hit songs.

May show how they are impatient towards ‘love’

Reporter: I don’t know why’ aroused great attention from the public since it seems like adding all the essence of music styles in 1 song. The production of the song should be unforgettable, right?

Yong Hwa: We are concerned about how much fans like this song since we have taken up a great challenge in composing this song. (laugh) Since we have been using the electronic sound synthesizer lately, we tried to input the electric sounds into the system then came out such kind of effects that you hear from the song.

– Adding percussion with guitar will give out an atmosphere of Latin which can easily impress people since the melody is ever-changing…

Reporter: Besides minding the sounds which varies, what do you still have to pay attention for performing this song?

YongHwa: I have mentioned that the playing of the prelude and the main melody are the parts which worth paying attention to. Moreover, we are band, but since we also want to produce ‘that’ kind of music, I also try writing songs with more notes. I think this kind of songs can represent what I am striving for now.

Jonghyun: Me too. Whenever I hear the melody coming from the speaker, I would feel delighted. I perform with great care. Although sometimes I am worried about whether I can perform the songs well, I am still happy that I can embrace new challenges.

Reporter: ‘I don’t know why’ was written in English while ‘Lie’ was written in Japanese, you tried to write your songs in different languages. Is it a challenge too?

Yonghwa: Although it is difficult to compose songs with languages other than mother tongue but we can be free in expression if we do that. We feel that the area of our expression has broadened. It is easy to express the sense of an album with English.

Jonghyun: When I am composing, I will first fill the Japanese lyrics in and Yonghwa will fill in the English one. In this way, our melody seems to be more vivid.

Reporter: To show the image of the song faithfully. It seems that your current style suits the taste of the fans!

Yonghwa: Usually I cannot express what I feel very well. For this reason, I want to express my view towards’ love’ in this song and how impatient I am when I cannot express it well… There are a lot of my views in the lyrics and I don’t feel nervous anymore. (laugh)

The sounds which are not existed in Korean are very difficult to pronounce

Reporter: The melody of ‘Lie’ seems to be very elegant but at the same time how you handle the details of the song is just like what CNBLUE will do. In composing this song, how did you get the inspiration?

Jonghyun: Since I like J-POP and I always listen to it, I am wondering whether it is affected by JPOP songs. Moreover, ‘Lie’ was written by me and as a guitarist, I added a phrase of guitar solo (laugh). I always want to depict a picture in my head and sing it when I am composing… This song is just like what I depicted in my head, I feel satisfied.

Yonghwa: In fact, this is the first song that I sang in Japanese. Therefore, at the very beginning, I could not catch the feeling and had to redo it again and again. The sounds that are not existed in Korean, like’ tsu’, ‘zu’ and ‘je’ are too difficult. Although I had prepared to redo many times until I have done the best… I still complained as ‘there is still a long way to go’ and I felt a bit upset (laugh). I will work hard on Japanese!

Reporter: About the live show that you are going to give in September, I think fans are anticipating the list of songs that you are going to sing, Please express your love to the fans who are longing for your show!

Yonghwa: Since this is also the time when we released our 2nd Japanese single, we are really happy about it. And we will of course sing the latest songs in the live show!

Jonghyun: I have been thinking about… What I want to get from the Japanese live. And there is nothing better than learning. Therefore I will try my best to learn and enjoy wholeheartedly.

Jungshin: There are a lot of our pre-debut memories in Japan. Therefore, I am more used to performing in Japan than in Korea to some extent. The place for our live show is special too. This is the first time that we had our tour in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. And it is also the time that we released the second single. There are so many meanings that made me a bit nervous… Since a day before the live in Osaka will be my birthday, I wish that I can perform the live relaxingly and get the praises from you.

Minhyuk: I think it is because we had a lot of live experience in Japan, so we can have the Asia tour now. And it was just different from the live show that we had in Japan before. We will grow continuously and I hope that we can hold more live shows in more places. We will perform our new songs and please show your support!

Korea,Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan and China

‘I feel so good to see people coming from different countries come and listen to our music’ (Yonghwa)

‘I am surprised to see there are people outside Korea to listen to our music and I feel happy too. The feeling is superb!’ (Jonghyun)

‘Since this is our first Asia tour, we are anticipating but nervous. Although we have just finished the concert in Singapore, we still have to practice more!  (Jungshin)

‘Yes, that is so true. I feel half anticipating and half nervous because this is my first time to go to some countries. We hope the fans can see our charming performance. We are now performing happily and please enjoy our remaining shows!’ (Minhyuk)

The topic of this issue is ‘Lie’

Is the ‘lie’ itself bad or the ‘person’ who tells lies is bad?

We can get a glimpse of the value of these 4 boys through their interpretation.

The pictures shows their individuality too. (Laugh)

There are good lies too (Jungshin)
There are lies as long as people live.

Although generally speaking, it is not good to tell lies, there are good lies in some situations. There are bad lies of course.

It is bad to lie in order to hurt others but if you tell lies for the sake of protecting others, it is good for both of yourself and others.

Lie – It is not bad originally

Jonghyun:

Lie…very complicated!

There are good lies and bad lies…

In our everyday life, we will lie frequently.

If someone always tell us not to lie, I think we will feel so annoyed.

I forgot where I heard that, ‘Comparing with the hard fact, many lies would lead to many more lies.’

That is why it is bad to tell so many lies.

I feel that ‘lies’ is not bad since at this moment, I am getting help from this thing…

Lies accompany me

(Yonghwa)

Recently,my parent always phoned me and asked, ‘Are there any bad things? Are you okay?’

And I always answered, ‘no problem. I have not even got a thing to be worried about. I have a very smooth life and nothing to worry.’

Although there are bad things, I have to overcome them myself. Therefore, I plan to say it in the future too,

I hate the liars no matter what (Minhyuk)

When we are a little kid, I believe everyone of us has antagonized our parents for the lies that

we have told. I had too so I do not want to lie anymore.

Although I will tell white lies sometimes, I still think that we should not evade our responsibilities by employing this technique.

If I say I do not lie, then I am lying now. However, no matter what, I still hate the liars and I will try my best not to tell lies.
