On Heartstrings Episode 2 which aired last night (June 30,2011) , another original song was revealed. It was a ballad track sang by Yonghwa as Lee Shin who is the lead vocalist of the band “The Stupid” in the drama. The song is said to be entitled “Because I Miss You“ which is composed by Jung Yonghwa himself. The song is said to be released officially online next week. lee shin’s mother told him that he(his father) would be giving him guitar lessons so he met with him without knowing who he actually was.But he recognized him as soon as he met him.He kept visiting him at the hospital and playing the guitar with him while his father taught him.His father was really sick.He was in the process of dying.he left him a song book.His mother got a call a while after from a friend about his death.They went to the hospital for his funeral and the wife of Lee shin’s father gave him the song book with the song his father composed and his father’s guitar.

This song is composed for Lee Shin’s father. In “Heartstrings”, Lee Shin’s father left them (Lee Shin, sister, and mother) for some reason unknown. Lee Shin played by Yonghwa actually longs for his father but their mother doesn’t want to meet them. however, Lee Shin’s mother arranged him to met with someone at the hospital and played guitar together. Lee Shin had an intuition that it was his father he’s playing with. Thus, he decided to composed this song.
I haven’t watched the episode with subs yet, but I read this from re-caps and comments. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I really can feel his pain, I’m about to cry, especially this song was made for his father, he sang this song after he met his father. Looks like his father had to go in the past, but in his heart, he still love his father and culdn’t let go of him.. Shin is definitely a complicated character.

Another song inspired by his feelings for his buin – Seohyun? I hope so. It seems he is saying he tried to let her go, but can’t. And he is now missing her. Also, he wanted to confess to her how he felt, but wasn’t able to during their time together…so he is telling her in this song. Maybe I’m delusional thinking everyting he writes is for Seohyun.
