[News] Kang Minhyuk to act as Kim Namju’s brother in KBS’ new weekend drama

Member of the popular rock band CNBLUE,  Kang Min Hyuk will join the cast for the upcoming KBS weekend TV series “You Are an Unexpected Piece of Good Luck” (literal translation 0f the title).

Kang Min Hyuk will take on the role of Kim Nam Ju’s younger brother named Cha Se Kwang in  the upcoming KBS weekend TV drama “You Are an Unexpected Piece of Good Luck”, written by  Park Ji Eun, and directed by Kim Hyung Suk. The drama is set to air its first episode on Feb 25 after the current series “ Ojakgyo Family” ends.

Cha Se Kwang is depicted as a natural born playboy who captivates women’s hearts regardless of their age. Even though his name “Se Kwang” (世光), stands for “spreading lights”, his best ability is to spread his light toward women.

Cha Se Kwang never spends money while dating a girl and can manifest his skill to make even a miser girl to open her wallet. He’s the type that think deeply of friendship, up to a point that runs out for his friends, although he is dating a girl whom he really likes. He is skewed but has the charm of  a sweet yet macho guy all at the same time.

In addition to this, the fact that Kang Min Hyuk will act as the younger brother of his great senior Kim Nam Ju, really attracts the viewers attention.

Cha Se Kwang, who is not afraid all the women in the world, however, is very scared of his sister Yoon Hee  (Kim Nam Ju’s role).  So in this drama  they will show us a unique brother-sister’s relationship.

Viewers can anticipate his ability to build up his acting skills from his role in “You Are an Unexpected Piece of Good Luck”.

“You Are an Unexpected Piece of Good Luck”  tells a story of Cha Yoon Hee who gets married to a perfect man,  surgeon and doctor Bang Kwi Nam (played by Yoo Jun San). Living with her in-law’s family, she finds herself in unexpected and troublesome situations that will touch all of us and give us laugh.

Kim Nam Ju is a noted Korean actress. Happily married to actor Kim Seung Woo (also the main MC for KBS’ “Win Win”), Kim Nam Ju has acted in many dramas and movies. Her 2009 drama “Queen of Housewives” was a hit in Korea and it was a bless for her since the drama was her “comeback” to small screen after 8 years.
