Official Press Release by CNBLUESTORM
In CNBLUE‘s first ever concert foray outside of Asia, and into a place where a lot of artists they admire find their roots, Korea’s premiere band came prepared to bring the house down at Stand Up by M Live, held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on March 9th. Being only half of this joint concert with FTISLAND, CNBLUE performed as if they are intent on winning some more fans over.
With an hour-long performance, CNBLUE rocked to their English, Japanese and Korean hits, including the recently released Japanese track, Where You Are. Each member of this quartet gave their all with leader Jung Yong Hwa‘s comical stage antics and guitar prowess charming the audience. Bassist Lee Jung Shin, also the group’s maknae, stands tall with his confidence and charisma, supporting his leader in audience dialogue, while giving the band’s sound the body required for a rock-out performance. Guitarist Lee Jong Hyun passionately strummed and hit all the right chords, proving that electrifying music is created only with passion and creativity. Drummer Kang Min Hyuk, at his unique spot towering over the stage, made his presence felt with beats and rhythm that complements the band’s distinctive sound.
By the end of their segment, fans and concertgoers were left wanting more, proving that a solo tour can be feasible.
Post-concert, fans of FTISLAND were seen commenting on social media sites as having been won over as fans of CNBLUE as well. CNBLUE also brought in a unique fan demographic, outside of the stereotypical idol audience, with people from all ages and gender professing attendance as BOICE at the Nokia Theater.
With a strong and memorable performance on that particular Friday night, anyone can really wish that this is not their last visit outside of Asia or even within the United States.

I always thought that people who were fanatic are people who were bored and has no friends to go out with but i was wrong. I have many friends and I do go out a lot. I am not a fanatic person but now i guess I am for CN Blue. Its crazy because i never cared about any celebrities before. Seeing or meeting celebrities wasn’t that big of a deal for me. But now, i think CN blue is everything to me. I bought anything that has CN blue on it.
It has been four days since the concert last friday but i am still on cloud nine. i took a day off from work just so i could go early. i lost my voice, my legs were sore from jumping so much. i could barely feel my arm from holding my “blue glow sticks” the entire time their on singing. i could not take much pictures because i was trying to “focus” on them singing and enjoying the moment screaming on the top of my lungs. All was worth it though.i still cant believe i really saw jung yong hwa. My cheeks are hurting so bad from smiling too much lol.
I started liking CN blue after i watched you’re beautiful and heartstring. After that i started “googling for jung yong hwa. i read and watched any article or videos that has jung yong hwa, that is how I found out that jung yong hwa has a band.Thank God that they have their songs on itunes! ( even though i don’t understand what they’re saying). i memorized them.
Because of CN blue i found out what “kpop” are.
Im taking korean classes just in case i see them in person at least i will be able to communicate. (haha hopefully)
Im so happy they came to LA. I was so surprised that there were so many non-koreans at the concert. i thought i would be the only one on my race but i was wrong. i am so happy for the diversity. I really wish they could come back to have their own concert. Maybe minhyuk could sing “star” too. i felt that the concert was too short. However, i know they all gave their best so i thank CNblue for being here in LA. i just wish they would come back soon. but also, I really don’t mind going out of the country for their next concert though…. ^_^

I am sooo touched reading this article. Every morning, CNBluestorm is a must on my tabs. Reading articles about the boys in between breaks. I looked for more articles about the LA concert and I found a very, very touching one. http://www.viki.com/channels/1659-v-scoop/posts/17704-f-t-island-and-c-n-blue-in-los-angeles-for-big-concert-together
Just reading this article makes my eyes wet in tears. I can’t explain how happy and proud I am. CNBlue, life, energy, jjang! CNBlue, Manse! ^^

Proud new Boice!
My friend (and devoted Yonghwa/CNblue fan) told me about 2-3 weeks ago that she’d found that they were coming to our area, along with FTIsland. Before the concert I had known a couple songs from each group-I’m a Loner, Hello Hello, and Severely. Thought it would be something different, and having never been to a concert in my life, I thought I might as well start somewhere.
After we bought our tickets, I spent the next 2 weeks marathoning You’re Beautiful, and youtubing everything of both groups I could get my hands on. I had known Yonghwa from Running Man as the clever and playful trickster. I began to appreciate the group’s music and unique sound. My love shot up a few notches when I found out just how many songs Yong and the rest do write themselves.
I was disappointed that I couldn’t finish the drama, and definitely did not know enough about both groups by the time of the concert.
But Yong and his lively rocker self, Jungshin the Giant maknae, Minhyuk the most adorable, happiest drummer ever (and the one I thought was maknae at first, because he just looked so adorable), and Jonghyun the BURNING guitarist, all of them separately and the CNBlue dynamic together completely held me captive all concert long. The one hour was far too short. So much different from watching a music program performance. I wanted more! A lot more!
The thing that sealed the deal on being a Boice though? That was after the concert. The day after I had such bad concert withdrawal I couldnt’ concentrate on anything. I started youtubing the boys on talk show appearances. CNBlue’s appearance on MSP was it for me, the part where they talk about group dynamics. How Yonghwa is an oustanding leader and hyung. How he works so hard, so passionately, how much he loves the group and puts in extraordinary effort day in and day out for them. How Minhyuk and Junghyun would feel guilty for sleeping earlier than their hyung. How Jungshin left him grape sugar. Their easy banter.
Their group dynamics which show that although they are talented individuals, they want to succeed together.
Thank you boys for coming out to SoCal, only wish you guys could have stayed longer and maybe got to have a little fun(I hope you guys DID get to go some places-Santa Monica Beach? Disneyland? Yes?).
Come back soon please? LA Boice are eagerly waiting.

You don’t have to be a teenager in order to be a CNBLUE fan! I’m 60 and took my 16-year-old granddaughter to see the LA show. It was a blast. My first ever concert and I chose to go see CNBLUE. Was able to get seats 14 rows from the stage. We traveled 2500 miles to see them (from Charleston SC), and it was worth every penny! I became aware of the band because of watching You’re Beautiful and Heartstrings on DramaFever. Was absolutely amazed at the acting/musical talents of the actors and found out JH and KH were actual members of a band called CNBLUE. I looked at band clips on YouTube and fell in love with their music. My only complaint about the LA show is that CNBLUE didn’t play longer. And my gosh, the screaming fans (LOL)–you almost couldn’t hear the music they were so loud. But what energy the band had! I got some nice pictures of JH, but had to take one of KH off the big screen because he was almost hidden from view from where I sat, and it didn’t even matter that I didn’t know Korean. I hope the band gets a chance to tour more in the US–along the East Coast would be nice. Keep up the great work CNBLUE!

I totally agree with you .I’m 4 years shy of your age but i enjoyed the show as much as the screaming girls next to me.Like you I bought pit tickets just 1 row behind the stage and yes it was worth every penny,I even paid half of the ticket of a friend who I asked to come with me. Indeed their show was short and I wished Yong Hwa and Minyuk got to sing some songs from Hearstrings. I hope they do come back to perform on their own so I can enjoy more of their music , no offense to FTISLAND .. i like Jeremy as well.I too don’t speak or understand Korean , just few simple words, but I don’t need to be Korean to enjoy music. Thank you CNBLUE for the music you make me feel young again. Please ..do come back whether it be LA or New York ,I’ll be there……Yong Hwa, did you bring home the gift I gave for your mom? I hope she enjoyed it.

I kept anticipated how would the concert run? Sure it was amazing. But, I just waited how the news or article might wrote about their performance? I’m happy becaue this article came first to be read (as always I go to this site first to read the news).
Wanna congratulate this four amazing boys for the first ever concert (the join concert w/ FT.Island as well) in US. I read all the comment below, some from those who attended the concert and they all love their performance, there is also said the possibility for their solo concert there. I wish they will do that soon
Above of all, I’m waiting for the videos the most
I sent tons of thank you for the admins for this article, the photos, and to let all boices get every update about them
