24 of Korea’s popular idol groups will be participating in an upcoming special, ‘MBC Idol Star Olympics‘, which will commemorate the upcoming 2012 London Olympics.
‘Idol Star Olympics‘ will see idols compete in eight events like 100 meter sprint, hurdles, long jump, high jump, relay, fencing, ping pong, and archery.
Fans can once again look forward to competitive races carried out by the top athletes of the idol world like Jo Kwon, Minho, Fei, and Bora, who have already made a name for themselves in the past with other athletic championship events.
The line up will see a total of 100 participants from 24 groups including SHINee (Minho), 2PM (Chansung, Nichkhun), 2AM, f(x), miss A, CNBLUE, SISTAR, T-ara, After School, SECRET, MBLAQ, INFINITE, ZE:A, TEEN TOP, Davichi, B1A4, Boyfriend, Girl’s Day, Nine Muses, A Pink, Dal Shabet, Dalmatian, LEDapple, and NS Yoonji.
The recording will take place on July 10th and July 15th, and the show will air at the end of July.

I’ve seen photos of Idol Star Olympics before or somewhat its an event where idols compete with each other in sport events… I really find it fun to look at and the idols seems to be really enjoying it. So, am really happy on this news… its a good break or an event for CNBLUE to participate.. its healthy and fun. ^^ ~L

I really hope it’s all four of them. It seriously disappointed me that none of them have been on Dream Team since Yonghwa appeared on the show eons ago. It was only a couple of weeks after their debut when he guested. This is definitely going to be one to watch. Just wish someone would sub it. I’ve only seen subs for the first Idol Star Olympics.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee…FINALLY!!!was expecting that they would join last year’s..and now, oh now..i can finally see our boys do one of the things that they love to do aside from music..i’m anticipating yonghwa to be serious about this since he really is very competitive..hehehe..hope they would enjoy this..cz im sure i will..hehehe

have you all watch Running Man Yonghwa’s episodes? He reall awesome.. especially when they were in Hongkong, that’s why he nicknamed the Ace as same as Ji hyo & jong kook and in WGM Special unexpectedly he won wrestling againts Nickhun..
Yonghwa maybe great in basketball as same as Minhyuk, Jonghyun in Judo, Taekwondo, etc.
Jungshin??? i’m curious.. ^^

Well I really can’t wait for this. I think Jonghyun will be top at 100 meter sprint because I ever heard that from all the member he is the fastest one. And for the other? hmmm maybe Jungshin can be top at jumping because he has a very long foot. I hope there is a basketball (what’s a pity T_T) so Yonghwa and Minhyuk can be top. Why they not play a Judo? Judo is one of the game from Korea, isn’t it? I wanna see Jonghyun skill in Judo. Fighting CNBLUE

Maybe JH can top in fencing since its kinda umm a skilled sport?
Since MH loves basketball and running, then maybe all of 100 meter sprint, hurdles, long jump, high jump, relay and ping pong? I heard MH loves to play badminton? Is it him? or another member?
JS will be good in sports too because of his body figure and height.

as for CNBLUE boys it could be some time out before their marathon single and albums releases scedule. (I bet among them, mh and jh will be the top one!)
