On the most recent episode of “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” CN Blue‘s Lee Jong Hyun impressed viewers with his tears. In the show, Kim Do Jin (played by Jang Dong Gun) approached his son Colin (played by Lee Jong Hyun), who was writing songs on his guitar in the room and told him that he is dating Seo Yi Soo (played by Kim Ha Neul) again.
Upon hearing the news, Colin told Kim Do Jin “Congratulations” and sincerely wished him happiness in his relationship. In doing so, all the mixed emotions he has been feeling throughout his journey of looking for his estranged biological father hit him all at once, causing him to tear up. Kim Do Jin embraced his son with love and Colin shed emotional tears in front of his father for the first time in 19 years.
Meanwhile, Lee Jong Hyun sang “My Love,” a soundtrack of “A Gentleman’s Dignity” with sorrowful and emotional voice and garnered much attention.

Wonderful episodes……..JungHyun stole my heart again!!! Great job. I don’t want to lose him to the Drama world because the music world would be so sad. A nice mix of both is ok. GREAT GREAT JOB!!!!!!!

This has been my absolute favorite scene so far. From Colin asking his father to sit (showing his father that he put the orange chair back in his room…which I think was Colin’s way to honor him), Colin’s heartfelt apology complete with a bit of mouth quivering, to Colin saying that he would leave anytime Do Jin said. And when Do Jin said that would never happen, the welling up of emotions just flowed forth from Colin. His father cares about him and wants him. On a funnier note; I also liked when Colin said that Do Jin was a new type of a father (in japanese) and Do Jin asked if he cursed him out. Colin answers back, “Can I?”

Hey, the subtitles have changed on http://www.epdrama.com Do Jin now says I don’t think that will happen in response to Colin saying that he would leave anytime Do Jin said.

Yeah, I like the way Jong Hyun brought in Colin’s emotion. He just welled up and cried without breaking his facial expression. For me, that is the saddest way to cry–to have a straight face while shedding your tears.

When I saw him tear up in Episode 17, I was happy and sad at the same time. Happy, because he finally cried…kekekek… On the serious side, I liked it that he was given that emotional role… At first, I did not quite see his tears because Jong Hyun is so white! When I saw the tear on his chin, I realized that he cried. I was sad for Collin because of his mixed emotions that were all bottled up…. I want to hug him… Good job, Jong Hyunnie! ^_^
